oh christmas tree

For the first time ever, I put up our Christmas trees before Thanksgiving.

For the first time ever, Emma helped me trim the tree, handing me each ornament with her sweet smile, "Tenga, mami." 

Her sweetness turned sour all to quickly as she made a run for it with a few of the ornaments off the tree.  "Haha, mommy!" 

After chasing her around the dining room table, she yelled through her giggles, "Emma, put back."


Luckily, I invested in shatter-proof ornaments last year.  Traded in my turquoise, gold, and peacock glass ornaments for red and green plastic ones.  So, go ahead, little lady.  Run around the house, throwing the ornaments at your daddy.
